Finally made it back in town and was able to get a line wet this week. Was able to stumble across a school of pups just off to the side of the main channel just south of the Swing Bridge.
Hearing about all the success on this site about the top waters, I threw a Mirro Top Dog at them with no luck. My buddy tied on a gold spoon and BOOM POW!
The med-fast retrieve worked best for us. Caught 4 upper slot and a bunch of lower slot. All were released.
We stayed on them until someone decided to fish right over the school and spook everything.
