Saturday my son, a friend, and myself hit the inshore Swansboro area. Once the tide was coming in we did great, my son caught his very first flounder all on his own! Together we got 4 Grey trout, 8 flounder, i got a sweet hit and pulled in a nice little puppy drum, my friend scored a very nice 18" speckled trout and of course some random lizard fish! We were using gulps and live finger mullet.
Sunday my good friend and i hit the Swansboro area again and did pretty good, we caught 3 grey trout, 10 flounder, some lizards, and my friend got his small puppy drum! 3 of the flounder were of good size! no specs though so we moved on and gave one last try, didnt get no specs but ended up catching about a dozen small black sea bass trying for em. Lots of live finger mullet and gulps! It was a great weekend and lots of new personal bests! My son getting his first flounder was the highlight!! i had a fun weekend and its always awesome to put fish in the boat!
