Stripers on the fly!!

Fished Saturday morning a Kerr lake for stripers busting shad on top. It was a perfect damp dreary day. I found several small pockets of fish throughout the morning. I found one cove where the water was just exploding. zipped in there thew the trolling motor down and commenced to catching fish. Caught 3 in this cove quickly then they slowed down, not breaking the surfaces as much. Then a fish broke near the bank. I made about a 30ft cast and started stripping. One takes the fly and immediately takes me down to my backing. After about a 5 min battle I landed this brute. 11lbs and measured 31 inches.

Ended up catching 7 total. ranging from 22 to 31 inches. I would have taken my pictures if I has someone else in the boat. But with this type of fishing you got to catch em before they go back down.
