Got out this past weekend with my brother (the fishwhisperer) near his house. We did two days worth of fishing getting up at 5:30am to hit the water bright and early.
Day one was a 6 mile float and we had decent action, this where I caught the long nose gar on a spinner bait. I hooked it under the jaw. This might be the most wicked looking fish I have ever landed. It was a lot bigger than i thought when I finally got it in the boat. We caught some smaller bass and sunfish as well that day.
Day two was a a lot cooler and we got caught in a little ran, but that helped the bit a little. We caught a lot more fish on this day and a lot more variety as well. My brother landed a nice Jack, along with the most variety for the day. I landed about a 2.5 pound largemouth, which was the biggest bass of the weeekend.
I am sure that the fishwhisperer will post more pics of the weekend, since he had the camera and these are all i have.
Great weekend with my brother and glad the weather is staring to cool. Hoping we can get out again really soon.
